Questions
If yours is not here, email us. Whatever you ask, the answer will not be "it depends".
No. They open your link in the browser they already have, and they do not make an account. A name and a cellphone number, so you can phone them when it is ready, is all we ask for.
Not at the moment. Customers order ahead and pay you at the counter when they collect, cash or card, exactly as they do today. Card payment online is the next thing we add.
Up to 6 days ahead, in collection slots that follow your opening hours. The page never offers a time you are closed, or one sooner than your kitchen needs.
Each hour has a cap of 10 orders, and once it is full the page offers the next slot instead. You set your prep time, so a busy kitchen is not promised what it cannot do.
The page stays open and moves the customer to ordering for later rather than turning them away. If you need to stop entirely, that is the one tap that also says why.
It is your own address, something like yourname.tafula.co.za. Put it on WhatsApp, on your Instagram and Facebook, in the window, on the till slip and on your Google listing. We do not bring you strangers; the delivery apps do that. We make sure the people who already know you can order without costing you a cut.
R1 299.00 a month, and that is the whole of it. No setup fee, no commission on anything you sell, no contract. See the pricing page for what is included and what is not yet.
Yes. This sits alongside them. Keep the apps for finding new customers and send the regulars here, where it costs you nothing per order.
Yes. The menu editor is yours: prices, items, sizes and extras, and a sold-out switch on each item. The ordering page updates the moment you save. Opening hours and prep time are on their own screen.
Three kinds of login. The owner can do everything, including settings and staff. A manager can change the menu and hours and work orders, but not settings. Staff work the orders board. Anyone with a login can pause online ordering, because when the power goes the person on shift should not have to phone for permission.
If you are a VAT vendor, your menu prices are shown VAT-inclusive, as South African law requires, and the 15% is worked out inside the price and shown on the order. If you are under the threshold, nothing about VAT appears anywhere. We ask which you are when we set you up.
No. Your ordering page is a website. If you already have one, put the link on it; if you do not, this is the one.
Not today, and we say so on the pricing page rather than hint at it. Collection is where the margin is for a small restaurant, and it is what we built first. If delivery comes, it comes as something you switch on, not something you pay for twice.
A name, a cellphone number, the order and the collection time, and an email address only if the customer chooses to give one. No home address, no identity number, no bank details, because a collection order does not need them.
Only to the ones who ticked the box at checkout asking for them. The box is never pre-ticked, because under POPIA a pre-ticked box is not consent, and we keep the exact wording they saw and the time they agreed. That record is yours.
Your own staff, and nobody at any other restaurant. Each restaurant's data is separated in the system, and the separation is tested on every change we make. Tafula can see it only to keep the system running. We do not sell anybody's information.
Tell us and we switch your page off. There is no notice period and no exit fee. Your menu and your customers' details are yours: ask and we send them to you, and then we delete them from our system, keeping only what tax law requires us to keep about the orders themselves.
Ask the person who built it.
